Choking Bird On Wire!!

See Cerenity “CHOKE” Mocking Bird, YES that’s RIGHT I’m going to go flipping NUTS if my newest resident that moved in to this Oak tree RIGHT next to the house does not SHUT UP!!  I am posting this little ditty at 2:00a.m. in the morning WHY? Because this thing will not SHUT UP!! You don’t hear it in the day time when NORMAL birds sing, dance and play the day away, NO it starts it’s what ever you call it at about 1:00 a.m. until about 4:00 a.m. I out of everyone love birds, I have a Blue Gold Macaw a Salmon Crested Cockatoo and two Parakeets and if you know anything about large Parrots they are LOUD!! And somewhere down the road it learned how to say what sounds like pretty bird and I am serious and it says it over and over again!! Tomorrow during NORMAL hours for making so much RACKET I’m going to go shake that tree, make as much noise as I can and keep that little feathered beaked monster up all day. It’s not going to know what hit it, it’s going to think the big one (earth quake) hit and want to move on to greener, safer pastures. Cerenity has vision of bird for dinner tonight!! And Cerenity loves down feathered pillows, YES Cerenity is going NUTS!!

I understand that "To Kill a Mockingbird" has already gained its own renown, so you can't be plagiarizing.  You've got to think of another plan.  My suggestion is this.  Get a really good set of noise-blocking ear plugs... It'll be better in the long run.  I hear tell there are funny little men in their clean white coats who are "Coming to Take You Away" if they see you ranting or "Flying Under the Cuckoo's Nest"...

ROFL ... oh, I know this feeling too well Cerenity. I use Nan's suggestion! Now I have a little packet of earplugs in the night table just for that alone (and another heavy-duty set for the hubby's snoring, but that's a whole other problem) LOL!

Hope you get some sleep tonight!

I suggest you get a bird feeder and put some mockingbird feed in it(that's if there's such a thing).  Then hand it on the tree next door

Cerenity, I recommend you get a shotgun. The 3" Magnum Hunting Model
ought to do the trick.

Cerenity is feeling much better at the moment she went back to bed at 3:30a.m. this morning when THAT BIRD decided to SHUT UP! And got a little sleep   I noticed though coming down to my office (next to house) that there are now two of those BIRDS, lets hope they find something to do in the wee hours of the morning OTHER than talking!!   I must be getting OLD cause I can’t sleep any more when theirs a bunch of noise going on, and I am one of these people that hates laying around in bed once I wake up it’s out of bed and get busy so needless to say the dishes and house have been done every night since my new arrival,

Acire,
The neighbor already HATES   me cause of my own BIG BIRDS, but they make noise during NORMAL hours!

Love, Cerenity

BB Gun.

Less mess, and your neighbors won't call the cops.

ROTFL @ Cerenity & Acire!

... and the BB gun is an excellent idea -- just don't aim it at your signifigant other. For some reason, certain people just don't like that...

*ahem* btw, mr. fire-arms-are-okay-inside-if-they-don't-blast-holes-in-the-wall, I found another BB in the blue block candle earlier today.

Put some bird seed in your yard. Just a handful. Do that for a couple of days. Then in the middle of the night on the third day, put a handful in your neighbors yard and not yours. Do that for a couple of days. Then put a handful in a neighbor's yard farther down. That way you train them to MOVE to the food...

Here's another idea, park a clean car underneath another tree.  For some reason, that seems to attract birds all the time.  Specially when it's time for number 2

Cerenity, now has some flue or cold at this point I don't care what it is just really hating life! and being up EVERY NIGHT is NOT helping, one of my neighbors is ready to come chop down my tree! Gee maybe I should try Poet deVines seed trick and send the BUZZARD over to his house

Cerenity, now crawling back in to her coffin!

Go tie a string around the neck of a dummy bird and hang it by your window.  I think the bird will get a clue

C,
Yes, this is normal behavior for those ol' Mockers, at least at this time of year.  And if you have a situation that looks "homey" to a mocker, well, taking one out leaves room for the next one to move in.
When I lived in Alabama, in the early spring, I thought they would drive me nuts too at that hour, but I got used to it.
Hey, they need their passion too!!!

Well its been almost two weeks, I think its here to stay   but it has settled down some, unless of course you make the mistake of going by its tree then you can expect at least twenty minutes of screaming! I think it made a nest which means in a few weeks all HELL is going to break out!! can't feed it to death this mountain I live on it bursting at the seams with fruit and nut trees not to mention berry bushes and all of the natural food sources, I am feeling better now and the screaming is starting to not bother me as much and I wanted to thank all of you for the laughs and advice, I never would of thought a small bird could cause SO MUCH RACKET but from what I have been told its better to have a mocking bird than a whipper whillow I'll just take their word for it,
