Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Pink Floyd - Wearing the Inside Out
Tom Petty - Room at the Top

Those are the ones that really jump out at me... especially Room at the Top for me...

Wish You Were Here - PF

Anna Begins - Counting Crows (not traditionally sad in anyway, actually a 'blossoming' song... but kills me through association)

Pale September & I'll Know - Fiona Apple (see above)

Baker Baker - Tori Amos

The Letter - Natalie Merchant

Don't Close Your Eyes - Keith Whitley

Mexico - Trisha Yearwood

You Look So Good In Love - George Strait

I Thought it was You - Doug Stone

Wise Up - Amiee Mann

and, as a sidenote: Smile - Lonestar
but I HATE that song; I get depressed just thinking about it.

This is not in any specific order, but most of them really move me towards periods of sadness...

My Own Prison - Creed
Nobody Home - Pink Floyd
Everybody Hurts - REM
Runaway Train - Soul Asylum ( a cpl of more from the same group)
Tears In heaven - Eric Clapton
Black - Pearl Jam
Where did you sleep last night - Nirvana
Creep - Radiohead (and a few more from the group)
Dust In The Wind - Kansas
Against All Odds - Phil Collins
Estranged - Guns 'N Roses
Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Poison
Wicked Game - Chris Issak
I started a joke - BeeGees (and a few more from them)

... and quite a few more... just can't name them all...

Regards,
Sudhir

Oh man, I love sad songs....I have a ton I like...

~By Jewel- Pieces of you, Painters, and Absense of Fear

~By Natalie Merchant- The letter, My skin, Seven Years

~By Tracy Chapman- Devotion, The Only One, Unsung Psalm, At this Point in my life, The Promise (I'm so in love with that one...the violin and guitar in it alone is enough to make me cry, and adding Tracy Chapman's incredibly beautiful alto just sends me over the edge...), The Rape of the World, Remember The Tinman

~By Sarah McLachlan- Hold On, Angel, Will You Remember Me, Full of Grace

~By Garth Brooks- The Dance, Till you come back to me again, Belleauwood

~By SheDaisy- Still holding out for you

~By Kevin Sharp- Nobody Knows

~By Reba- She thinks his name was John

~By Lisa Kane- Miles Away

Phew!  That's not even all....like I said, I love sad stuff...

*Krista Knutson*

"We can all become what we aspire to be
If Heaven's here on Earth..." ~Tracy Chapman

here's two for now, more later when I regain access to my mp3 library and music collection...

Waiting on an Angel-Ben Harper
Two Beds and a Coffe Machine-Savage Garden (only song that can make me cry no matter how happy I seem)

A hungry man picks fruit from a tree and eats it; a hungry civilized man buys it from a man who, in turn, buys it from the man who picks it.

OHHH!! JESSE!! NOO!!
Nothing Else Matters isn't a sad song! Is it? LOL! It wasn't to me. That was the song my husband and I danced to at our wedding!    I love it because I thought at the time that no matter what, in the end, we could seek trust in each other; and that we would do things the way we thought was best in our marriage (no matter how different) instead of listening and making decisions based on what everyone else felt about how marriage should be. Thats the way I looked at the song. Maybe it means something else? *shrugs* Its not really a sad song to me. Depends on what you get out of it I suppose.

still d-i-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t-e-d
I am bound by this, you see...to become Night's sole mistress, and I am jealous in my endeavours for his attention.

Milk - Garbage

Brick - Ben Folds Five

Born To Cry - Pulp

Dreams - Fleetwood Mac

Exile - Enya

1000 Oceans - Tori Amos (~sniff~)

Run To The Water - Live (association - not cause it's sad per se)

Time Ago - Black Lab

Oh Father - Madonna

Let It All Come Down - Simple Minds

I Love You - Sarah McLaughlin

Come To Me - Bjork

The Living - Natalie Merchant

Second Chance - Thirty Eight Special (the rest of their songs suck)

K

All obscurity starts with a danger:
Your dangers are many. I
Cannot look much but your form suffers
Some strange injury
