Everyone does it once in a while.... that silly dare or wager and you think after, "Now why did I ever go and do that?"

Come clean folks.... what's your silliest dare/wager you have ever done?

Mine is eating a whole jar of pickled eggs in a pub one night. Not just a little jar either.... this jar had 30 pickled eggs in it!

And why did I do it? Well, I guess the 8 or more pints of Courage Best Bitter I had drunk that evening helped me decide it was a good idea. Also, the guys that put me up to it gave me 10 and payed for the jar of eggs too. If I'd lost I wouldn't have to pay them any money, just pay for the eggs I had eaten up to that point.

And how did I feel afterwards? Very, very !

Hahaha that is just funny Colin.

I'm not like that....I don't play any dare games. I'm too afraid they'll make me run naked or kiss some nasty looking animal.

As for wagers....I always win....so nothing silly about that.
*offers Colin a pickle*

I don't if this qualifies? but I once won a bet that I could drink more tequila than a certain rude offshoreman in a lounge one happy hour....eleven shots were poured, five each--with a double in the middle...I drank my five and the double shot and one of HIS, and he paid the tab--threw me my twenty and left without saying a word. *hic*

I don't think this qualifies but it is the only one I can remember actually there is one other thing but it wasn't a dare and I did it anyway, it is rather embarrassing. Well with the dare it was my first day at a new school my fouth grade year. We had just moved into a new school district in the middle of the year so I was the "new guy". I ended up seated next to a guy that, well lets just say he was full of his own machotism(is that a word?), he desides to "test" me. He dared me to take my number 2 pencil and stab him in his left wrist. He aslo said that I wouldn't do it. Well I was in a foul mood because I had just maved away from my best friends and a girl, who still means the world to me even though I haven't seen her since. So without another thought I took my pencil and stabbed him in his wrist. Needless to say no one bothered me at that school again. I think I will save the other mament for another thread, for now.

does stories of nutty friends count? If so, I've a friend, now deceased (drug overdose) who once climbed the rafter to jump on stage with Alice Cooper to shake his hand--and was immediately "sprayed" offstage by a firehose...

and? another friend works at a convenience store...graveyard shift...she watched a guy, pull up for gas, set up a tripod and camera, remove all of his clothes as the the camera recorded his moment of glory--and? the guy paid for the gas with a credit card--how they found out it was a payment on a bet.

And this one is sad and beyond silly. Two friends...drunk and with a gun. One pointed the gun at his chest and said? "count to ten." The other replied "ten." He pulled the trigger. He did survive though. But that was the dumbest dare I've ever heard of being followed through on---sigh.

I feel like I should post a link to the Darwin Awards here somewheres...

this is NOT the worst, but the only one I can think of at the moment:

Walking stark naked across the top ledge of my roof singing The Star Spangled Banner as loud as my lungs (those who've come in contact with my "vocal projection" are cowering at the moment) would allow (dare, of course)... Oh, the sparkling memories of childhood.

Although I never had to do this one? I have seen it done. In the heyday of "trivial pursuit" my friends and I added a quirk to the rules...whoever reading the question, upon encountering a particularly difficult query could invoke the "lick the floor" challenge....which meant upon this challenge being accepted, the loser of said challenge would have to lick the floor.

Well I didn't do it but one of my giuys friend was dare to light a dollar and hold his arm above it while it burnt down to nothing....Well he did it, and now have a scar about the size of a golf ball on him arm. It's was probably one of the dumbest things I have seen a person do.
