EPITAPH

TO ALL THE FRIENDS WHO HAVE GRACED MY HOME

THIS IS WHAT I HOPE THE SUPREME BEING
WILL SAY TO ME
WHEN WE FINALLY MEET...

SHE WAS A VERY QUIRKY GAL
NON-JUDGEMENTAL, FAIR
AND IF YOU VISITED HER HOME
YOU COULD FIND PEACE THERE

SHE UNDERSTOOD SADNESS
SHE KNEW HOW TO CARE
AND IF YOU VISITED HER HOME
YOU COULD CRY THERE

SHE WAS AQUAINTED WITH ANGER
TELL IT ALL IF YOU DARE
BECAUSE IF YOU VISITED HER HOME
YOU COULD VENT THERE

SHE KNEW WELL OF "WEARY"
AND HOW SOMETIMES, "YOU DON'T CARE"
SO IF YOU VISITED HER HOME
YOU COULD SLEEP THERE

SHE HAD FELT AGONIZING PAIN
SO IF YOU HURT EVERYWHERE
YOU COULD VISIT HER HOME
AND FIND COMFORT THERE

SHE HAD KNOWN MUCH HAPPINESS
SO TO SMILE, LAUGH AND SHARE
YOU COULD VISIT HER HOME
AND FIND JOY THERE

SHE KNEW JUST HOW TO PRAY
SO IF YOUR SOUL WAS IN DISPARE
YOU COULD VISIT HER HOME
AND FIND YOUR GOD THERE

SHE HAD LOST HER HOME MANY TIMES BEFORE
NO MATTER... SHE HAD OPEN ARMS, A PAIR
SO YOU COULD VISIT HER STRONG EMBRACE
AND ALWAYS...BE WELCOME THERE...

As a new member to CA, you likely don't know how slowly it usually moves. The stated goal or purpose of this forum is to analyze poems in some depth. This can take some time. By posting so many so quickly, you dilute the ability (and possibly even the interest) of your companions to do so. A general guideline around PIP is to not post more than 3 per day. In CA, we usually suggest to usually not post more than one at any time. Let that one get its due before posting another.

We all appreciate your exuberance at finding a new place to write and be read but you will serve your interest better if you slow down a bit. Please understand that I don't want to discourage you in any way but just suggest that ther is not enough time to give each of your efforts its proper due. Thanks for understanding.

Pete

THANK YOU FOR THE TIP.  I HAVE ALSO BEEN REVIEWING THOSE WHO HAVE REVIEWED ME.  I WILL SLOW DOWN AS YOU ASKED.  ESPECIALLY IF I CAN GET SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR MAKING MY WRITES BETTER.  ALSO MY VISION MADE IT NEC. TO 'PLAY' WITH THIS FORUM'S ABILITIES SO I COULD LEARN HOW TO POST SUCCESSFULLY.  I HAD A DEVIL OF A TIME LAST NIGHT TRYING TO DELETE AN ENTRY.  THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EXPLAINING.

Muse,
I think this poem is just beautiful. It really gives one insight into what a sweet and loving person you are. Loved the message.
