Cerberus, your hackles frighten
me no longer,
your image stayed with me for years,

I tried to tame you...
got inconsequential dramatizations
in return.

What you stand before can not pull me
from my position,
for I know you are but a rendering,
you imagine others lie around you,
look up to you,
yet wait for you to fall...

how vainglorious,
especially when you know that,
from nose to posterior,

you are truly one of the faithful.

"It is wisdom to know others;
It is enlightenment to know one's self" - Lao Tzu

I read this thinking of what you were saying, but I must say that, "got inconsequential dramatizations
in return."  Got pretty heavy for me and said a mouthful.
