Clarity

Thou footst, Clarity, fair may
of crisp stride, unconfus'd sway,
wont to flow on such airish dance
as puts to ease all in one glance.
Cluttered cares are routed away
and cloud discarded to clean day;
blossomy fields shed perfume tears
of sweetness as thy movement clears.
The trickling of a rill I hear
and trillings of birds all a-cheer
yonder earthlings till with pride
rich landscapes golden green and wide.
Business at the market swings
looses her hair, buttons and strings
her hips now sway, her voice now sings
and now a merry throng she brings.
Seest not thy effects fair may
and yet thou aye errest away?
Freshness of air, brightness of day
What words, what deed may make this stay?
