The Roses

The roses scent of thee
in brightness and beauty
and tenderness wealthy
divined but never free.
As tears of dew outline
each petal shedding shine
and thorns as well define
endurance to refine.
Such patience in the rain
Such patience in the sun
make sweetness to obtain
and sweetness never done.
Through roots to radiance
great flows thy excellence
as to higher solace
all times come out to bless.

nice poem
i truly enjoyed it
i found it to be a metaphor comparing the rose to a person going through life and enduring through it all
