In the skies above, in the dirt below

As a young man coming into my own
my perceptions in life have been worn and tattered
along this journey to becoming grown

All my life i was taught
from my decisions in life
my fate would be wrought

I spoke what I thought
and what I believed in
for that I fought

Now Im here, tried
for a crime I didnt commit
they wont believe I didnt do it

The black and white in which I viewed the world
hid the truth from my eyes
hid the world of chaos, hatred, and lies

A loud crash resounded through my home
the veil of clarity shattered
leaving me hounded, bruised and battered
alone

In the recesses of my mind
a voice screams, "its about time"
all my life I have been color blind
