Marriage
by Kirk T Walker

In our meeting, I found my own true love.
But, ah hah! What is this?
In marriage, it seems, I’ve found so much more.
Indeed--my nemesis!

Kirk, clever one. The only suggestion I have is maybe if  maybe if the poem was a rhyming piece.

Brian: Isn't it a rhyming piece? (2nd and 4th:"this" and "-sis")

Did you mean if it was NOT a rhyming piece?

Kirk,

I agree, very clever indeed...how true, well...you are just joking, I am sure. Have you shown this to your "nemesis"?

This is not meant in offense to my wife, of course.  Rather, it is meant to concentrate on a single aspect of marriage.

Or perhaps to contrast two aspects?

Enjoyed this, Kirk.  As they say ... once you go down on one knee, you never get up.
