rain falls emotional floods
red eyes, tired hearts
signs blurred by love
resentment, fear, nervousness
head down in the sand
hands high, yelling to sky
another day passes by

I think you have too many abstract ideas here, and need to delve more deeply into specifics. I suggest you read some of the posts here with extensive, interactive critiques... it'll give you some good ideas to start with.

For a first post, I thought this was very good. You have imagery, emotion and something close to metaphor...all in a very few lines. Keep writing!
