I'm sad today.  I don't know why
I want to crumple up and cry.
No memory of griefs gone by
Distrubed my sleep or made me sigh.

The present looks quite calm and fair.
No hint of sorrow showing there.
So could it be the future came
Into my room and called me name?

Isn't it a shame that sadness can creep up on us when least expected.
Nice to see that your poem was published, guess that would chase away those blues.

This is a great stanza.

The present looks quite calm and fair.
No hint of sorrow showing there.
So could it be the future came
Into my room and called me name?

Great work. I feel this poetry inside.

Yes sometimes we just don't know where the sadness comes from, but that's better than knowing.  Joyce

inot2B:  Thanks for commenting.  It is strange how you can wake up some morning and be sad and not have any idea why.  It was nice to have this published and I know other people have that happen too.

Sadness, joy...all feelings to remind us that we are alive and human,,beautifully done.  Ellie
