I'm wondering what has happened
To a dear old friend of mine
He used to be here all the time
Writing down his lines.

He wrote with ease and grace I thought.
A talent to be sure.
With lots of humour in his work.
And love that was so pure.

I think that I should write him
And ask him what is up.
He'll sadly tell me I'm quite sure
That Coventry lost The Cup.

You see he likes his football
that's soccer to you and me
In fact he is fanatic
It's really plain to see.

If one day soon you see a poem
And you're wondering where he's at
Please check out the authors name.
Was it written by John The Cat?
