Gray bones
imprints the near sky.
Tyrannosaurs Rex
stalks the horizon;
roars in despair, and
red eyes the rising sun.

Winding sheets of metal
are riveted over steel framework;
a city skyscraper ascends.

Wordancer, the one who dances with words.

The dinosaurs were here for about 250 million years. Rex was the ultimate, meat eating, killing machine.
Our killing machine is technology.
I like the comparison, "dances with words".
Thanks, very much.

I like the 'red eyes the rising sun" piece... Nice.

I kept going back to the first 2 lines though - should it not either be "Gray bone / imprints the near sky." or "Gray bones / imprint the near sky."? The two plurals there were a little hard to get past..

Bless your cotten sockies, you poetic maniacs. ^_^

Love - Lynne
