Everything in alive, except man,  lives on faith.  The seed goes into the ground with the knowledge it will see the light again.  The birds and butterflies fly thousands of miles on faith alone, sure they will find what they are seeking at the end of their journey.  Only man with his super intelligence demands proof. He has lost the instincts of his ancestors by always demanding proof and forgetting to have faith..  My little sermon for today.  Joyce

Thi is a poem that demands deep thought. I agree with Joyce and her comments on faith. It is our survival.

And a good sermon it is, Joyce.
However, this "rambling process of obscure thoughts" is about precisely that, (faith, belief, love, spirit), as an unconditional, renewable resource.
Even after all of the intellectual rationalizing, we still have that instinctive need to believe.
That I think is the real paradox.

Faith isn't Faith, unless it's all we're hanging on to....

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Let me make another analogy?

Belief is the key that starts the tractor.

Faith is the fuel that drives the engine.

And works are the evidences of plowed fields and the bringing forth of good fruits at the harvest.

No one of them stands alone in its own right, just as logic and scientific proof do not.

Darn, I wish I'd been on time to see this.  Sounds interesting.    I like your last analogy.

To love another person is to see the face of God.
