I woke up today
It wasn't a dream,
Things weren't at all
The way they had been--
Like a New World
Had come to me,
I opened my eyes
And what did I see?

I saw a bunny,
And it was a sunny
Hip-hoppity kinda' day,
The grass was greener,
Than I had seen 'er
In many a winter's day!

The sky was bluer,
And I just knew, er--
The whole world was coming alive!
I couldn't be happier,
No time to nappier
I had to get me outside!

The birdies were chirpin',
And I was a-burping--
(Chilli-dogs will do that to you!)
I saw kiddies a-playin',
They were March,April, Mayin'
Playground seemed like one-fun Zoo!

From the sod there was popping,
Pretty Flowers,'twas no stoppin'
The invasion of color-burst wonder!
Zip-KaBoom, Raz-ma-Taz,
Daffodills, snap-dragons, and glads
Kicking the Remnants of Winter assunder!

Don't pinch me if I am dreamin',
Borne of my wishful scheming--
I'm in Heaven, just give me some room!
Or come frolic in Daisies,
We'll have fun with our springtime playzies
Let the fun times begin-Cha-Za-BLOOM!!!!!!!!

No Better Place do I know
Than where Hearts knit as
one,
For in that grand
experience,
The Better ALL become.

God Bless us All!!!

David; This a marvelously delicious poem! I think you have contracted the worst case of spring fever I have ever seen. The only possible cure is to immerse yourself in it completely! Love and bunnies; Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

LOL@both of you. Still a while before spring here, but the smiles warm up even the frozen north. Thanks for that.

Oh spring brings out the child in all of us. I loved this. I scrolled up to see where you're from. Arizona or Arkansas? Either place I thought had mild winters and spring would not be such a change. Guess I was wrong. Joyce
