I was writing out a story when she turned and frowned at me " Don't you do that! NOT AGAIN!" was her earnest plea This wouldn't be noteworthy if ' she ' were you or me but in truth ' she ' was a character about to die in Chapter 3 " And call me by my name you JERK!! Its Daria MacCree Don't tell me you don't know it!! 'cause YOU created ME!! " I sat in shock and wonder as she...as Daria crawled up off the page though small in stature next to mine loud was her voice in rage " How many stories have you used me in?! Under one name, then another! Every book I'm the first to go! With no child, friend, or lover! " " What are you saying? " I asked Dar then " You wanna be in Chapter 4?" She rolled her eyes and shook her head " I don't want to DIE anymore! " " All your other characters laugh at me on sight! Its the same in every book three chapters...IRENE GOODNIGHT!! " " I've never called you Irene." I spoke defensively She crossed her arms and glared up then with hatred aimed at me. " Why do you do it everytime? Why must it ALWAYS be?! You're the one who made me LIVE! So why keep KILLING me???" Seven books up on my shelf I pulled them down for her to see " Everytime I use you Dar, there is a purpose in the deed. " " Not to ME when I am dead!" the tiny woman cried " I never get to see the end Never know why I must die!" I opened up my first book to where Dar first had died " After I killed you off right here the other people UNIFIED." " They rose up, as One, in outrage at the flower they had lost. Your death right here saved a people though your storyline it cost. " I showed her in the others then how everytime she died it set events in motion and her eyes were moist and wide " I'm ....a Keystone.....aren't I?" she asked in disbeleif " Aye, my little Daria, weather Queen, Peasant or Theif." " And you my dear are singular no other character the same the others only in one book but for youI just change names." " You are special to me Daria, Arianna, Trixie, Grace all the names that I have given you yet still that same sweet face." " I'm sorry....I yelled at you before." sweet Daria said to me " I guess I never understood my place in Your stories." She crawled back into Chapter 3 in this new book she is a Mage and grappling with the Shadows there i started the next page. On she battled, till the end the Keystone, set in place the Shadows, now defeated, gone but her life's blood on her face. I couldn't help but stop then as my Chracters round her cried and consider my own mysterious place in the 'story' of The Scribe. My little Daria looked up though nearly dead, at me she winked her hopeful smile, inspiring knowing she'd be back again in ink. Then with a smile and scratch paper I wrote the first lines of ' history' set apart from my other tales simply called " Daria's Story " " Hey!! what about Us??" called the Shadows. " Yeah, can we be GOOD guys for a CHANGE?" I laughed and made myself a note " Alright boys, that I can arrange." So now you know the story... of little 'Daria' and Me go get your favorite writing pen.... and write a new Character...for me. ~Which way did They go? How many of Them were there? I MUST find Them!! Sol loved this little story, I too am guilty of the same thing Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning. |

Ooooooh...more book stuff! hehehe Me like! Must have first autographed copy!  Seriously, Sol, great piece of writing. Like I said before and will say again, astonishing. Sol Sun....it's been a little while since I've embraced your work, but today, I came looking and found....a keystone! You MUST start posting your new works in other forums....you have quite the imagination and make for an enjoyable read! And when you are famous, you'll let us little people know, correct? |

~ smiles and arches a brow ~ When I'm famous?? ..Hm..we shall see...when I am famous I shall return and make gifts to one and all... and grams...Daria?? oddly enough I have yet to write a book or much of anything using a character named Daria...this was a bit of fun on my part....as for her inspiration????....I cannot rightly say...though in almost everything I do..there is one type of lady that seems to make herself seen..even without me trying...you've seen her countless times inpoems and songs here at the forums...the most prominant character based upon her being Destiny...from all those Sasquatch and Sol poems... ~ smiles knowingly and slips away ~ ~Which way did They go? How many of Them were there? I MUST find Them!! I AM THEIR LEADER!!~ Author Unknown..well at least to me..:) |
