Looking out the window at the snow
That is so beautifully floating down
As a ruptured feather pillow very
Quickly covering the ground,

I feel his arm around my shoulder..
Feel his warm breath on my cheek;
I look into his soft blue eyes, being
Spellbound as I hear him speak.

His voice so deep and tender now
Whispers of his love so true;
As he holds me close, I respond
Repeating his words..I love you.

The snow is quickly deepening now
As inside, our love is deepening too,
Feeling each others heightening desires.
Releasing emotion so long overdue.

The fireplace displays its flickering glow
As if dancing for our mutual pleasure;
We come together in silence now, our
Passion mingling with hidden treasure.

We love the night away, not wanting
To see the dawn of a new day appear;
I turn to the one I love, as he gently
Kisses my eyelids..holds me ever so near.

We whisper about the love we share
Each sharing what’s in our heart;
The time was approaching, we both knew
When we’d say farewell..and depart.

But for now, I lie closer to him,
Feeling the beating of his heart;
Knowing it beats for me alone,
Whether near..or miles apart.

As we leave our cabin with saddened
Hearts, we vow to return one day,
Our love demands it of us now..
To be together in every way.

I love this poem, it's so romantic and written so well. Made me dream of being snowed in somewhere with that special someone.

Although it doesn't snow here where I am, but I am looking forward to the coming winter months, as I believe couples become closer in winter.All those cuddles on cold nights! A lovely subject to write about. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Your use of imagery creates a vivid picture.
This was awesome! Very tender piece that I enjoyed immensely.
