I am a mother a driver,
a teacher, a nurse,
a poet still yearning
to write better verse.

I’m a passionate fool,
a dreamer, a tease,
a little too shy,
too willing to please.

I am playful, cynical,
thoughtful and rude,
I am silly and fun
(when I’m in the right mood)

I might not be right,
but I’ll never be wrong,
my life is as full,
as the days are long.
