This was written for the pure fun of it...
partially with kids in mind (of any age *g*)...
a bit of a tongue-twister - hope you enjoy it!

********************************

Raindrop Journey

Tiny raindrops bouncing,
elasticity in motion;
joyous meld of bubbles
in a puddle-soft implosion.

Puddles burping ripples
with their hungry edges sprawling,
wanderlust of  trickle
to the surging river's calling.

Restless arm of river
waving high in wild emotion;
torrents swirling corners
to the appetite of ocean.

Tidal pull of ocean
gulps them all in eager kiss -
river, puddle, raindrops -
breathes a sigh of silver mist.

Misty cloud of raindrops
keeps the circle ever strong:
form and purpose changing,
but its essence never gone.

What a marvelous blend of language and images, Lary! You definitely do not have to be a kid to appreciate this.

This is really great....and explains raindrops so well. (Although we don't see quite enough of them here, where I live)
Such beautiful words put together so well.

How beautifully you have penned the journey of a raindrop!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

That brought back some memories...mostly playful ones.

You have described a delightful imagery I usually just take for granted. Thanks for the mental picture.

So happy you all enjoyed this splash!
Sorry to be so late in responding - I'm having schedule problems, sigh. Thank goodness for this Corner of the forum - I can't keep up with the pace of the main one

Songbird - I felt like a kid, writing about 'puddles burping ripples' - but maybe (hopefully) we all keep a bit of the child in us.... Thanks!

Marilyn, I'm glad you enjoyed it - it was fun to write!

JB - I guess this is not the season for it in your part of the world...thanks for your comments!

Ellie, I really appreciate your thought - thanks so much!

Hey Swamp Faeryie - I bet you still love splashing in puddles! Thanks for your wing-touch!

Moon Dust - Ah ha! I know that feeling!

Girl - I'm glad, because it was written with playfulness - thanks for dropping in!

Melton, thank you - I also wanted to indicate appreciation for this 'circle', and I'm pleased that it comes across.

Wonderful encouragement - thank you, my friends....
Lary
