When melody soars, it can joyously float
in silver-toed glide across stepping-stone notes.

Its flow can be tender - a mist barely felt -
or surge with the thrust of a mountaintop melt.

It nestles in clusters like dawn's clearest dew,
bounces in billows of intricate hues.

It filters through mindthreads in fingertip swirls,
releasing the knots, letting tensions uncurl.

Its layers refract into healing refrains,
infusing fresh hope to hearts shrunken by pain.

It echoes a belltone with heavenly ring -
angels have whispered that even God sings!

Well, my fellow Canadian, this is very well expressed. I just could not survive without music - of all genres, and this is such a perfect tribute. This is just wonderful, especially the last two lines!   Do you have any more room for another fan?!

Take care,
Melissa~

Count me in on the fan club.  I can never resist reading something about music, and I can't recall having read anything on these pages that was quite as well done as this on that subject.

Very nice written. Music is imperative to ones life......at least mine.
I loved this.

wow! Count me in the fan club too! This is pure poetry at it's best. You are truly a gifted poet! Bravo!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Thank you all so much...
Sunshine, you bring such a beam when you drop in *g*!
Songbird, I know how you write - you need no lessons, LOL!  (But thanks for the compliment!)
Keith - thanks - I think music holds more power than we realize...
Pegasus, I love your work, too - and your great website!
Yo Melissa! Yep, proudly Canadian, eh!
Marilyn, I would have guessed you enjoy music - your words embed it!
Best, thanks - I'm glad the orchestra's in tune *g*
DD, I agree - except some people can't seem to hear it...
Ellie, thanks so much, I just let it flow...

I'm still having a hard time catching everyone around the forums, trying to read your work...
I think I like this slower Pub crawl!!
Thanks again,
Lary
