alas camelot
does thou knowest that
thee were a dream

magic kingdom
drifts into dark times
a lady weeps

thy banners
wilted under skies of scorn
dark clouds gather

oh, avalon
where have thou gone
a vision lost

amber sky
frozen in a endless dream
the dragon sleeps

awake!
beat thy wings loudly. . .and
scream defiance

bellow loudly
awaken thy defenders to arms
a clarion call

glorious camelot
no longer will thy enemies
tread on thee

"Come...dance with me, into my world of words."

lovely as usual, oh master of the haiku..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This is so expertly woven - I didn't even realize it was haiku!  The story gripped me.
Enjoyed immensely!

I'm with Lary, missed that it was haiku until it was pointed out.  :-) Nice.

haiku?  ah, these are haiku, actually the 2nd stanza was the first...it was posted as a lone haiku elsewhere.  Then when I look at the responses ... it just grew into this. (I love it when that happens) Glad you enjoyed, it was fun writing.
