Hmm... I have "borrowed" several lines here...guilty as charged.  Dream Lover I have this dream, still incomplete Of a lover I have yet to meet-- Schiphol Airport, arrival lounge, My lover's on flight 805 A shrill voice sounds through the air; "Dream Lovers flight's 'bout to arrive" With trembling hands and pounding heart I search the crowd for my sweetheart Like the brightest star he shines from afar The man I have not met before He slowly approaches with a mystery smile I'm moments away from the one I adore He looks me straight in the eye and says; "Excuse me Miss, is baggage this way?" While he tries to walk straight by (What a devil he is!) So what else can I do but reply; "Please follow this way, you're limo's outside, For today I'll be your guide" A moment of silence hangs in the air Then the sun bursts out on his face He calls me a "bengel" first time face to face We get lost in a first embrace A tear leaves my eye and I give a deep sigh This is surely the moment I'll die For our hearts beat in tune and I feel like the moon Kissed by morning's first sunlight We are placed out of time, in universal chime While lips at last entwine Wrapped in blankets of love, he's a gift from above I look into love's calming face And this moment two become one My Dream Lover to call my own. A disturbing sound slowly reaches my ear I am pulled away from this heavenly sphere To awake in my bed all alone Now, each night before I fall asleep, I pray to awake one morn, Fulfilled of my yearning forlorn, To find myself within my Dream Lover's arms, And never again look back for anything more ~Munda [This message has been edited by Munda (edited 01-29-2001).] |
