Full moons illumined arms
embracing the wild winds,
as of a winters dance upon
this virgin snowdrifts, higher
as blown one flake upon another
up to kiss the icicles long
and lonely teardrop from stark
and leafless tree pining
for spring, weeping for warmths
embrace, still cold tundra
remains for winter is deep
and relentless with chilled
breath on glassy lakes of ice
where once a Swan Song was sung
on summers eve as it seems
a millenium ago.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Hurry Spring, Tarry not but hasten thy arrival henceforth! I can relate to this one!
Good writing!

Very beautifully written, Ellie! Yes, it does seem like a very long time, doesn't it? I'm ready for Spring!

Very pretty picture, Ellie, even if it is very cold.  The end reminds me of being sick and not remembering how it is to feel well.  Even though we cannot remember summer, it will come again.

To love another person is to see the face of God.
