Echoes Caught

She calls me to supper
in her native tongue, French.
I reply in my Mother’s
answering; “Ya wohl, leibchen!”

Eating an elegant Italian
in our new semi-Victorian.
Glass plates from France
lighting soft in antique brass.

Tracy and Lynard playing low
cribbage board is keeping score.
Fresh snow floating, loosing battle
not sticking, just wetting our street.

Her Mama on the party line
I tease, kidding my interpreter.
My sweet, sometimes wicked lover
this women I  love ferociously.

Taking snapshots of life
painted in rhythm and rhyme.
Isn’t this the poets responsibility
asking as her voice echoes in my mind...

bleeding...

"Tis ink coming
from his arm,
Captain!"

Hey bleeding, I loved this, I felt as though I was there, I could hear it and see it

Great writing

Beautiful poetic kodak moments!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Just goes to show, you don't need a camrea to take pictures. And a camera couldn't have took a a lovelier picture than this

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

Wow, nice one here. The ending left an impacting feeling within me. Nice.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
