The scene was unusual
My night was a bore
That’s when I saw him
Walk through the door

He strummed his guitar
Playing songs that I knew
I watched him intently
As the intensity grew

Two strangers met eyes
They stared for awhile
And as if no one was around
They both exchanged smiles

Talking they knew
That something was there
Sparks, they flew
Like lightening in the air

Stories they told
About walls built up high
Broken hearts and girlfriends
He didn’t notice my sigh

It was time for me to leave
He knew I had to go
There was no rhyme or reason
The clock had told me so

The stranger kissed my lips
A kiss I can’t forget
Sweet and soft like in a dream
I felt his soul, with no regrets

I don't think I’ll ever see him again
The chances of that are slim
But I’ll carry this poem around
So that one day I can give it to him

There was an unusual force that night
Fate was playing her part
Two people shared her magic
And for a moment they shared hearts.

Bethy; This so beautifully written! It looks like you are an incurable romantic, jut like your mother!  Love ya, Mom

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Hope you get to give this to him some day. It's bound to touch him, as it touches me.
