A shared toy,
A little hug,
Friendship's made,
With acts of love,
A silent tear,
In the night,
To mourn a friend,
Who lost the fight.

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

A dance in rain,
A silly face,
A wedding dress,
From grandma's lace,
A knowing glance,
Across the room,
One that says,
"I love you, too."

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

A snowy day,
A friendly smile,
"Please, come in.
Warm up awhile."
A welcome wave,
"I'm glad you're here."
A sad good-bye,
"You'll still be near."

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

Perfectly lovely continuation of how love can heal and bless with the simplest gesture.
This is so wonderful, best...Love, Ellie< !signature-->

Hi, I read them both and enjoyed them equally!  You've written well about the people in our lives and their acts of love that have so much meaning!
Thanks for sharing!
