A kind word,
A loving touch,
A whispered joke,
Hugs and such,
A frightened child,
A friend in need,
A gentle kiss,
A quiet plea.

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

A wistful sigh,
A deep regret,
A gentle hand,
We don't forget.
A child's game,
A story told,
Etched in stone,
From days of old.

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

A firm push,
A warm embrace,
Room to breathe,
When you need space.
A heartfelt note,
A friendship poem,
A call to say,
"You're not alone."

They leave footprints,
On our hearts,
They touch our lives,
They leave their mark.

When I read Alicia's "Piece Couple" it made me think of how so many people affect our lives and don't even know it, just by one kind word or action. So this is for Alicia and all the people who have left footprints on my heart.

Best

Suzanne.....
Thank you so much..I just don't think people realize how much we affect each others lives. Like the wonderful responses I received for this.

Ellie...
You hit it right on the mark...if only people would realize how those kind words and actions affect lives. Thank you.

Lynne...
And you never forget them do you? You always remember those kind smiles when your having a bad day or a friend asking if your okay, and then listening when you say "not really".
Thank you for the wonderful response.

Wikket....
You always have wonderful things to say about my poems...I appreciate that so much, and I am so glad you enjoy them....

Thanks so much, best.  This puts everything I've ever written to shame.  It is truly amazing. *in tears*  simply beautiful.

Alicia....

You write beautifully that was the point...I liked your poem so much that all this came from the thoughts that yours invoked. Thank you~I'm so glad you like it.

It's late, and I didn't know if I wanted to open this, but I'm glad I did.  These are wonderful thoughts, and I like musical the way you put them together. Think I'll keep this one in my library.
