IF I ONLY HAD ONE CHANCE WITH YOU

I often find myself day dreaming of you,
No matter how hard I try,
I just can't seem to get you off my mind.
I think about you and me
and what it could be if my dreams became a reality.
If I only had one chance with you.

Your dark brown hair and beautiful eyes,
sends shivers down my spine.
The sight of you makes me weak,
When I'm around you I'm nervous and cannot speak.
If I only had one chance with you.

There's just something about you
that I haven't found in anyone else before,
And as time passes by
I find myself wanting you more.
If I only had a chance with you.

The times we've shared together mean so much to me,
I wish I could make each moment last until eternity.
When were apart I miss you and my heart aches,
It makes me realize that I can't move on
And that life without you would be a mistake.
If I only had one chance with you.

What can I do to make you see
that your the only one for me?
I know that there may be other girls,
but none will love you more than me.
If I only had one chance with you.

I can show you why we belong together,
I have to tell you why I need you
in my life always and forever.
I will give you my heart so please hold it tight,
Just believe in me, you will have no regrets
for this is something that is so right.
All I ask is for you to give me just one chance.

Welcome to the Pub, Artermis.   Lots of good listeners here.  This is a very nice first post, full of a longing I know only too well, having been here several times myself.  I can only say someday you will find someone who really appreciates you and is worthy of all the love I see written in your heart.  Hope its soon.

Hi everyone,
This poem is my first post and at first I was rather hesitant in sharing it because I wasn't sure if it was good enough for this list. I really enjoy reading poetry and I have read a lot of beautiful poems here. I was very happy that some of you took the time to read my poem and leave such nice encouraging comments. That meant a lot to me because this is the first time that I have ever let anyone read one of my poems. Thanks again for such kind words and for making me feel so welcome.

I wrote this poem for someone who I have such strong feelings for. Problem is, I am too afraid to tell him out of fear of rejection. I don't want to lose him as a friend, I'd rather have that than to lose him completely. I was thinking of giving him this poem to tell him how I feel, but I am rather hesitant in doing so. I just don't know what to do. Thanks everyone for your kind words on my poem. Hearing them makes me a little more confident in getting the courage to actually share it with him one day. I hope I can do it. Thanks agiain.

Artemis...

What a beautiful first post! Welcome to the Pub, you'll find lots of wonderful friends here. And as far as whether to tell him your feelings or not....

You'll miss 100% of the shots you never take!

Good luck!

Best

Sad...and yet hopeful. Thats the way I look at life sometimes, and it is well illustrated here. Welcome to Passions.
