There is a strong willed heart Full of spirit and life Silently it sighs Wrapped in joy and love Tucked away is this special gift Beating only with true love Tenderness and affection Joyously it flutters in anticipation As this is a gift that keeps giving It is the gift of love One that sails through the The moments of indifference Makes it through the doubt Withstanding inner conflict Coming full circle Though in the shape of my heart It is my gift to you The home is not new Nor the sentiment But where there is true love ... There is a new fraility in each moment that The heart beats Which at times we mistake as weakness It finds shelter in the one that holds it dear Keeping it safe It is a gift Rare and precious As time passes and love grows It sparks new recognition Opening the eyes to see a bit more clearly Though haunted with insecurities of the unknown The heart nontheless beats stonger With love everlasting Given from one soul to other Finding forgiveness and acceptance Within hope Shedding pride Willfully giving itself As the eternal gift Of Love .. |
