This story picks up where "Escorting the White Knight" by Silver Blade left off, posted previously in the Corner Pub. ~W.K.
********

Blackthorne and I had shared our past,
Both road weary, reached the cave at last,
The predawn light cast murky gray,
A torch was needed to find our way.

Behind us we heard a rushing stead,
Drew our swords, in case of need,
Silver Blade raced up in a hurried rush,
His one word warning, "Ambush"!

We spun around in time to see,
Six attackers, two groups of three,
With Silver Blade we assumed a triangle formation,
Covering each others backs for the altercation.

The first group approached wielding blade,
Bold they were, too eager, they did fade,
We cut them down, our experience prevailed,
Regrouped as the second flank then assailed.

More seasoned warriors were these,
Thrust and parried with swift ease,
Valiant did we fight this raging hoard,
'Till my opponent at last, tasted my sword.

I then turned back to aid my brother,
Twas then I became aware of another,
No warrior, but a figure in the flickering light,
A woman's voice called out, apparent fright!

Save me brave knight from this savage band,
Was brought here at night by brutal hand,
I am a Lady of my Majesties Court,
Was summoned away by a false report.

Silver Blade and Blackthorne had defeated their foes,
But not without receiving some wounding sword blows,
Silver Blade told me to get the Lady away,
While he tended to wounds, with my brother would stay.

I must get thee to safety, stay by my side,
To make sure the paths clear, before we do ride,
She seemed a bit shaken but followed my lead,
As we made our way back to my faithful stead.

The path was all clear as we hit the trail,
Her safety, my mission, I dare not fail,
I told her my name and she did slowly reply,
While examining my face, said "I am Lady Skye".

(Having heard that name first, just hours before,
Could this be my brothers lost love, I must hear more)
M'Lady Skye, I said, what a beautiful name,
Pray tell me about from whence thou came.

I love this!  I didn't see the first part, but could you tell me how to find it?  I hope this isn't the end of the story 'cuz I have to know what becomes of Lady Skye.

Oh wow this was great!!!!!!! What a great continuation!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!

Where shalt I begin to tell
thy story of myne life as in a shell
ten years seamstressing for thy queen
a better life I'd wish to have seen.

We were to elope one September night
myne parents forbid I was full of fright
when at thy appointed hour
myne planned destiny gone sour.

Happiness twas once a part of myne life
til thy true love twas killed by knife.
Never I saw his handsome face thereafter
til in a recent dream I relived thy laughter.

Taken from thy safety of castle walls
myne dream within myne true love calls.
Slept walk through darkness without a clue
myne true love's eyes calling through.

Thus leading me to thy very cave
In myne sleep becoming a slave.
Feeling thy life turning to debris
Whence upon the scene you came setting me free.

Pardon me, Lady Skye my stealth,
I've yet to introduce myself.
I'm sir Dennis, the White Knight,
Pleased to rescue thee from thy plight!

The enemies of  our kingdom doth rail,
Assaults on our sovereignty they do assail,
The barbarian thrust we must quell,
Save our kingdom from their hell!

Is Skye thy family name?
Have ye many sisters with the same?
I ask 'cause I've recently heard,
Thy surname mentioned in a word.

I understand thy loss in love,
Relief falls short, to rise above,
The constant grief, shattered dreams,
In the night the muffled screams.

Your love you mentioned, would I know?
For I know many friend and foe,
Some have fallen in summers day,
'Fore the hair doth fade to gray.

Thy sleep walking, danger so,
Can'st secure thy slumbered soul,
Perhaps Meryln can potion make,
To assure M'Lady a safe wake!

Absolutely delightful...Reminds me of when I used to Role Play...Can't wait to see more of the story.

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.

My Sir White Knight,
Ye asked so kindly of my plight,
Skye shalt be myne surname,
Thy Knight Blackthorne would be myne flame.

Thy surname you've recently heard?,
Myne vision is getting so blurred,

Blackthorne is that really ye I see,
Have ye returned to me?
To fill this darkened heart of myne with glee.

Myne sweet Blackthorne,
Let us go,
We have a lifetime,
Our love doth show.

I’ve been away far too long,
Look at thyne mess here.
Lady Skye Sleep walking
Into thy wrong arms I fear.

Summoned by White Knight
Desiring potion as thy cure,
Abode rampaged leaving none
To work with thy kind Sir.

Take thy Lady’s willing hand
Guide her to thy own castle,
Find her a safe room to sleep
Avoiding any and all hassles.

Thy Lady sees  Blackthorne
In her sleeping state of being,
There’s no telling her reaction
From what she’s foreseeing.

Gently speak words of meaning,
Heed caution as thy Lady Speaks,
So much could come to dismay
With lack of precise techniques.

I shall go find thy twin brother
Which whom may be a guide,
Leading at least to answers
That only he could provide.

If  in myne absence turmoil
Concerning thy Lady’s desires
Erupts into dismay for thee,
Know Merlynne will aspire.

~at White Knights Castle~

M'Lady Skye, here wilt we rest,
Before thy delusions grow,
Perhaps before thus yet long,
Again your true love you'll know.

Lady Skye, I barely know thee,
Yet thy advances be quite bold,
I am NOT thy true lost love,
Knight Blackthorne, as thou hast told.

Ahh, She's passed out in myne arms,
Must let her sleep til come morn,
Merlynn must the potion make,
'Fore she walks in her sleep forlorn.

In this myne Guest chamber,
As Merlynn hath advised,
She should be safe o'ernight,
No hazards have I spied.

Myne Master chamber, right next door,
I shall sleep light this night,
Lest she wander into danger,
Before the sun riseth bright.

Merlynn, pray thee, don't tarry,
Thy assistance promptly provide,
That this Ladies' amorous attention,
Thou might properly guide!

I’ve found thy brother Blackthorne bitten by a snake
A poison  antidote twas  rustled up by Guinevere.
His speech twas mighty slurred to a point of confusion,
So for now ye need to follow other paths of wisdom
Thus to get through thine dilemma for Lady Skye’s sake.

Written in thy journals of past magic induced spells
Thou needs to attempt to cohere dreams into reality.
For not an easy task for an honorable Knight as ye,
Yet within thee ye shall find a wisdom which dwells.

Thy morning light shall be thine time to enrapture
Lady Skye’s mind to the point of simple illusion.
Seek the depth of her delusions with much finesse,
Thus with luck ye may break through and capture.

In thy meantime I shalt tend to Knight Blackthorne
See if in his healing state some answers staged.
Will’st thou take heed in thine maneuvers sought,
For thou canst afford risking thine future to adorn.

~White Knight ponders Merlynns message alone~

How can I thus heed to Merlynns advise,
My love is pledged to Esmeralda myne mate,
Dare I betray myne vow of fidelity,
To safe this damsel from cruel fate?

Wisdom from the earths four corners,
Bring answers to myne dilemma sore,
Myne soul aches for Esmeralds’ charms,
Yet Lady Skye needs myne favors more.

Myne vows as a Knight rush back to me,
I’ve sworn to help the fragile and weak,
Safe from harm, myne Knights duty,
Vows must be honored, solemn speak.

Esmeralda, myne love, please forgive,
Myne passion is reserved for Thee,
Duty calls to help this maiden,
Myne Knight vows tie myne hands thou see.

~White Knight entering into Lady Skyes chamber~

Lady Skye, Lady Skye,
The dagger severed not myne life,
Thy beloved hast this attack survived,
Let me behold myne once betrothed wife.

LadySky, in my hand I hold the answer to your curse
Whatever curse is holding you, this key surely obverse
And wake you from this awfulness, release you from your smart
This key I hold here in my hand is called "The Key Of Heart"
Merlynne I hope you do remember words spoken so true
"This key protects you Guinevere for every curse it will undo"
Please hurry Merlynne, bring this key to LadySky with speed
Now please hand Blackthorne's horse and we will follow as agreed
Up to the castle walls I shall bring Blackthorne, then must leave
To find my dearest Lancelot, of my own heart I am a thief
Now flee and ride with Godspeed to save dear LadySky
Until we meet again my friend, drive safe.. we are nearby..

~meanwhile at White Knights castle~

Oh, tis no good this deception,
I can'st betray myne loves trust,
Lady Skye, Look upon myne face,
The truth to tell I must.

Knight Blackthorne is alive,
I know this to be true,
I am has own twin brother,
Of this I only recently knew.

We were seperated at birth,
By circumstances beyond our control,
The Daughter of Endor told me thus,
That myne brother was a Knight so bold!

Please see things as they truely are,
Not as thy visions by night,
Merlynnn is on a mission,
To set the matter aright.

I thus refuse to decieve thee,
And violate such sacred trust,
Though conselled quite the contrary,
Integrity be saved , a must!

I shall lock thee in this chamber,
Til shall come the morn,
For thy safety I hold the key,
Til thy sanity be reborn.

~White Knight leaves the room and lock the door behind him~

Esmeralda, my beloved,
Myne heart belongeth to thee,
Myne heart aches in thy absence,
In THYNE arms ,I wish to be!
