What if the world stoppped,
And only for a minute,
So I may get a chance to think,
Of where my life is going,

What if the world slowed down,
Just so I could catch up,
Like i'm falling way behind,
failing to take it all in.

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

lol...at 16,500 miles an hour we would fall off if the world stopped..maybe it's us that need to slow down...not the world..what do you think?

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I can sympathize with this sentiment.  There just doesn't seem to be enough time for everything, does there?  LOL Maybe it could slow down to say 14,000 miles an hour, just for a little bit.  What do you think, Pegasus?< !signature-->

What a thought... but the question is.. as much as we all need to catch up, would we? Or would we use the time for something else? I've often had similar thoughts myself... "If only the world would stop long enough for me to catch up". Very thought provoking.

I am sometimes critized for being somewhat of a recluse and standoffish..this is my way of slowing the the world down...

I think the trick is not to think about it too much, because if you try to take in everything (the meaning of life, everything- almost a Douglas Adams book there lol) it is mind blowing. really enjoyed the poem.

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".

Think i've started something here

KCS - Now there's an idea hold on everyone

Shira - Yeah but only to catch up a bit, life would get boring if i did it completely

Pegasus - sometimes I do that

Brian - thank u I'll try it
