This is the first in the wildflower series..enjoy..

----------------------------------------------------

The sun reflects mirrors of silver
from the snowy mountain peaks.
Tall green pine trees, majestic giants,
spray their fresh scent into surrounding hills.

In the valleys below, rolling fields sprawl,
large oaks and hickory dot the vast expanse.
Wildflowers are everywhere, their bright colors
blanket the meadows with gold, crimson, and blue.

A light mist drifts down from the high peaks,
casting rainbows of bent light which appear suddenly,
and quickly disappear in the fading day.
It is here, where you belong, sweet princess.

This is your world, breathtaking in it’s beauty,
peaceful, serene, in it’s gentle nature.
Here, you can breathe deeply of life as it is meant to be.
Here, you are at peace. You are home, beloved wildflower.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

How majestic is the sense of quiet simple beauty. Poetic perfection in every line. All to enhance the beauty of one perfect wildflower. Ellie

This is lovely, loved the images

Yo Pegasus!
I pulled this one back - love its flavor - have I missed the 'next in the series?'
(Did you present your muse with flowers after treating her so disrespectfully, LOL!)
I can breathe the atmosphere from this one...
nicely done!

Coming attractions sound good to me. You do write very well of nature. I oten visualize the scenes you paint. This is a lovely one.

I don't know about the wildflower, but this sure brought me home. Thank you for your wonderful words that brought me back to the place I treasured as a child! :: Bravo!
