Break My Heart Softly ~*Marge Tindal*~ Darling, tell me, is it true, that you have found somebody new ? Someone to hold you in their arms and tell you of your many charms ? Is it really a possibility, that you no longer care for me ? Don't let me be the last to know. Break my heart softly as you go. Must I learn to love another ? Please do not linger if it's so. If I must lose your love this way, tell me now so I will know. Though it will never be the same, I won't forget the way you came into my life with your broken dreams, needing mending at the seams. Your broken heart now mended, you've surely left me blue. So much for this seamstress, I'm left with just the threads of you. So I will gather myself and find another heart to mend. marge, you wrote my life in this one. it seems that the hearts that give the most are the ones that end up alone. now, if i could only find the grace and strength that was so beautifully written here, well, perhaps it might not be so harsh. |
