I write letters,
Not words

Words are powerful,
Mine lack meaning

Poems bring about emotions
My petty lines do not touch hearts

I am not talented,
I merely own a dictionary

Not everyone can be a poet
I, obviously, cannot

I am a repetetive lunatic
And a rhyming fool

I only write blank pages
And meaningless phrases

Alicia...

Oh, my dear...This is so not true! Every line you write is jam-packed with meaning and the hearts you touch are endless. Don't ever stop.

Best

Alicia,
Backup the poetry bus, looks like you fell out somewhere and we certianly don't want to leave you behind on our journey TOGETHER.
We all have dry spells where our poetry seems to dry up and miss it's mark but we ALL have influence and touch hearts we don't even realize. Your poetry is as valid as anyones here. DON'T put your special poetry pen away yet, there's plenty of ink left!

Yeah i'm sure we all feel like that sometimes. But you aint a bad poet.

Life has got to chnage,
Nothing stays the same,
Soon it will be time,
For me to move on.

lol... yeah right!! hehe... this is a really good piece! the irony of the fact you write a fine piece of poetry claiming you can't write is really a great literary tool! good job, poet!

- all you can ever really ask out of life is a sincere apology and some decent poetry -

if you're writing it, you are!
You did and you are!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Alicia~
How WONDERFUL !
You are trying to pull my leg !
I know a game of MAGNETIC POETRY IN MOTION when I see it !

I've taken ALL of your EXACT words
and re-arranged them to make this little ditty -

Blank pages, I lack
My lines touch hearts, everyone can
I am a talented, rhyming, lunatic
I only write poems about emotions
and bring words and meaning
I do not merely own a dictionary
I write powerful words
not meaningless phrases
I am not repetetive
Mine are not petty letters
A fool cannot be a poet,obviously

*Okay ... how'd I do ?
I'm surprised no one else has caught on to
your great little magnetic poetry game yet !
What fun !
Thank you soooooooooo much for this entertainment !
*Hugs*

This isn't true. Anybody who puts their soul and expression into writing can touch hearts and so on!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!

Well, I don't know how to reply to this without being repetitive, but this is one of the best poems I've ever seen about not being able to write poetry.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Thanks be to all of you.
Marge,
I loved that; it is so great!  Thanks!

To the rest of you all, I guess I can't claim to not be a poet, I'm too conceited to say that.  LOL.  I was just a little down yesterday, but, neverfear, you guys just picked me up.  Thanks again.
