Will you be here when I grow old,
To wrap your arms around me tight,
Hold my hand as we stroll along,
Just like we did last night?

Will you tell me all the secrets,
That you hold deep in your heart,
Will I still be your best friend,
Like I've been right from the start?

Will you gaze into my eyes,
And tell me how you see,
The days ahead unfolding,
Together, you and me?

Will you be here when I grow old,
To wrap your arms around me tight,
Hold my hand as we stroll along,
Just like you did last night?

Will you kiss me with that passion,
That burns so deep in you,
Kiss me with that longing,
Even when we're eighty-two?

Will you touch me gently
On my face with wrinkled skin,
Will you still think I am as beautiful,
As when we first began?

Will you be here when I grow old,
To wrap your arms around me tight,
Hold my hand as we stroll along,
Just like you did last night?

If you don't plan to be here,
Then you should tell me now,
Because that's what I believe in,
When I take that sacred vow.

Oh how I hope he will still be there for you.
That is what the vow is all about. My darling promised he would be there and for over 30 years he has stood by me. Good Luck!

Good questions. I hope you find the one with the right answers soon.

bestgirl
sometimes i am a little put off by the way at how people treat marriage(and divorce) so lightly...
like you, i believe the vow is sacred..thank you for expressing those feelings

Marge...
Thank you so much....This is just the way I have always pictured it and hope someday to find it just this way.

Kaile...
I, like you, think that vow should be sacred, it should be a love that lasts forever, hope you find it someday. Thanks!
