About eleven thirty
came Jack and Squatch with Lady
they all have keys to my place
since they are like family

They sat down withe the Queens for lunch
made intros with each other
all my little mythic chicks
and me...adopted mother

Jack Frost was nosing through the fridge
(( he really likes cold air))
"Hey, Sol, what's for lunch??" Jack mused
'Whatever I have in there.'

" Hot dogs and dill pickles
and some sliced american cheese
Doesn't sound like much for lunch"
'Just hand them to me, please'

I grabbed a loaf of bread
and a tub o butter
I shooed Jack from the freezer
made him chit chat with the others

I remembered me a recipie
back when I was "Solstice Boy"
it filled me up on rainy days
when I was bored with toys

A piece of bread for everyone
a hot dog sliced in two
a slice of pickle for later on
and one pice of sliced cheese too

Butter bread and cheese first together
then the hotdogs side by side
I feel like such a mother
with all the kids inside

Underneath the broiler now
till cheese is golden brown
till the dog halves nice and roasted
turn all frowns upside down

A pickle down each middle
and I served them to my friends
'Adam and Eve on a raft with snake'
that's how this chapter ends

I agree..you have a priceless gift..it certainly appeals to the child in me.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

I'm absolutely delighted with your trilogy hon!!!    And I could picture some of your pictures as illustrations should you ever decide to make these into a childrens book.  You've got the talent, that's for sure.  *hugs tightly*  I'm proud to have you as a friend.
