A tiny seed,
she floats aimlessly,
until quite suddenly,
she finds herself
in a bright, cheerful garden.

There are brilliant flowers of every kind,
awe inspiring colors, that flourish
from sunrise to sunset,
and all through the long, dark, night.

Roses, snapdragons, dandelions and daisy’s,
all the splendors of nature,
dancing, waving,
welcoming her.

Burying herself deeper and deeper
in the warm, comforting soil,
she is thirsty for each dewdrop
that soaks the common ground.

Slowly, she responds to the gentle touch
of sunshine and a soft breeze,
which flows through her like
the whispers of many, many, voices.

It whispers of desires, of passion,
as she sprouts upward, shyly,
unfolding each petal to finally gaze
on the magnificent bouquet,
blooming all around.

With hopeful anticipation, she blossoms,
and waits for the moment,
when she too, will be firmly rooted,
into the very heart of this passionate garden
that she calls home.

Debbie,

This is inspiring, it paints such vivid pictures...I especially loved the very last verse.

Congratulations on your 500th, and a lovely post it is, too!  The little seed is adding marvelous colors to the passionate bouquet.

Thanks to all of you for your kind responses!
I love reading the unique poetry that each of you post, though I do not always respond. It's become part of my day, to check in on the poets here and see what they are up to!  You all have such unique personalities that shine in such a special way!

I'm very happy to have found a place where I can be in the company of people who share my passion for writing!

Debbie, Hi

Really enjoyed your use of extended metaphor to decribe Passions and the poets.

Wonderful!

Congrats on your 500th post!!    Your poem was awe inspiring...I loved the way the images jump off the screen...Well done, Debbie...I'm looking forward to seeing more.

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.
