You asked me if i feel the same, As I did those months ago, When you told me that you loved me, Then you let me go. I feel the same about you, As I did back then. I'm just not sure my heart can take, Being broken once again. You call me on the telephone, To say it was a mistake, Is there any way to make it up, Another chance to take? You say you didn't know what you had, 'Til it was already gone, The nights have been so lonely, The days have been so long. You want to hold me once again, Show me that you've changed, Seems you've got it figured out, My heart neatly arranged. I can't say that I don't love you, And your voice I love to hear. But, to take that chance again, May be more than I can bear. So if you really love me, Then you won't mind the wait, While I sort this out inside, And try to contemplate, What it would be like, To be lost in love so true, To try again to work this out, And give my heart to you. |

Beautiful poem... But that trust has to be earned and that takes time. There also has to be many hours of good comminication and counseling isn't a bad idea either. KC... Very tough & VERY cautious....Thanks Ellie... He's trying to earn that trust back..but it can't happen overnight....as far as the prayers...well, that's a given. Dreamkeeper... Thank you for the kind comments Pegasus... I don't know about outdoing myself, but the emotions are truly conflicting. Thanks for reading. Debbie...
