Shadows sheltering things of fear. Shadows disappear. The sun has gone down on my doorstep today. My life is now going astray. The things I thought to be true have all been shot down with words from you. Shadows lurking within. Shadows carrying him. He holds the dagger up so high. Striking swiftly he knows his victims died. He kills our hopes our dreams and desires. With a look of pure hateful fire. The demon inside your heart has shown thru Now I know just what to do! yes, you are right. adversity is a test of our manhood( and womanhood)..this was nicely written with deep implications for us all. thanks for sharing.  the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Epoet, As my life has many "shadows" I keep trying to hide from...I really liked the last lines... Shadows Forcing me to be a man... The whole poem was stunning. Good job!  |

thank you one and all for your comments. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I've been studying so hard I forget to take time out for me. Pegasus, you said it right adversity is the test of our strength in life, and I wanted people to see that the test only makes us stronger. Dreamkeeper, Marge and Broken winged angel, thank you life is a shadow all of us live under at one time or another. However, my life seems to be one forever in shadows. P. J.
