....as requested...more fun poetry....

when Squatch and I do laundery
its quite a sight to see
not for the reasons you might think
sit tight, and let you mind be free

we pack up his blue Hummer
cuz what else can he drive??
we stop at Leon's Custard Stand
no matter sun or snow outside

he always gets a turtle
sometimes two or three
he pops in John, Paul, Ringo, George
the first anthology

we sit and eat and groove
happy as can be
the folks at Leon's all know Squatch
but still they strain to see

once we're done then off we go
to the coin-op laundery
oddly enough right next door
chinese take out, and Mr.Lee

Mr.Lee loves Squatch and me
we keep the crime rate down a bit
(( well ok, its mostly Squatch,
but I find my place to fit))

ole Squatch he nevers sorts his whites
so all his clothes are grey
he says " I'm monochrome, like Regis,
its easier that way!! "

I sort and fold and watch TV
Magnum PI's on right now
sometimes i play the pinball game
but I mostly watch the crowd

the mother with 'angelic' brrod
the guy who lives with his ma
the yuppie couple counting change
and Squatch eating from Ching Hwa's

yes, we're quite a sight, me and Squatch
mythology and pet
we always seem to fit right in
at the coin-op laundromat.

Hahahaha a wonderful tale! I loved it. I simply love the creativity you put within your poems. Quite humurous. Well done!!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them!

Solstice Son,
This is so refreshing, humorous, happy and carefree! You've lightened my spirits with your delightful verse!

Such an endearing town you live in! And the delightful characters that live there with you!
I love your adventures with Squatch! More! More!

yep love your tales, I have to agree with everyone else that I want more

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

*L* Thank you everyone...truely

Now..if you are ever in Milwaukee...that's where Leon's is...they patterned Arnolds from Happy Days on this burger stand...and yes..even in winter they sell custard

Ching Hwa's is a chinese/mongolian restaurant in Waukesha...west of Milwaukee...

and the laundromat in the town I live in now...is right next to a chinese take out joint...

I knew a Mr.Lee once as well...briefly..but I knew him *L*

thanks again..

Sol
