Bouquet of Flowers

This spring I planted two flowers in my garden,
Best friends these flowers came to be,
One day to my dismay,
A weed grew between the two,
The weed seemed to be a split of these two friendly
flowers,
I pulled this weed up,
Still it came back.
Everytime I pulled,
With a vengence it came back.
The last time the weed came back,
wrapping itself tightly around the flowers.
These flowers loved the little weed.
I let the weed grow,
by the end of the summer
I realized that it was not a weed
but another flower
who with my other flowers
brightened up my life
with their beauty.

Thanks to Ria and Brian for giving me the courage to post this. Brian thanks for your help in reformatting.

Callie~
This is just lovely.
The power of friendship that nourishes growth is a wonderful thing.

My thanks to your friends, too -
for encouraging you to post this little beauty.

Wonderfully written verse,  and I agree with Marge true friendship is a beautiful thing.

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".

Love the idea here

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

Dear Callie; Your use of analogy is done beautifully to describe the wonder of friendship. Lovely!  Ellie< !signature-->
