While walking down a leaf strwen path
I chanced to meet the Winter Fae
her form was clean and pure and bright
as snowdrifts i nthe full moon's light

A gentle kiss upon my cheek
and then it was I heard her speak
"Good day, youngsoul, you solstice-born
how fare you now before First Storm?"

The storm she mentioned had yet to come
on alaskan winds bereft of sun
as they did one longest night
whereby was born my soul of light

'I am well' I said" but pleased tis true
to see and feel the sight of You.
for though the sun is fair and bright,
I was born on solstice night.'

"I know" she said "for I was there
I saw your mother's burden bared
I heard the night touched by your cry
and saw Aurora in your eyes"

"Ever have I watched you so
the seasons pass as on you grow
a manly gift from God above
yet wonder I, if made for love?"

Her question last waslike a sigh
my mind did race and in her eye
found I a warm and beating soul
yet mortal, I knew not her goal

'Would you love a soul like me?'
quite shocked, embaressed plain to see
and with her touch she stilled my heart
and did her lips with warm words part

"I love you my sweet solstice-born
I hear your passion in the storm
I ache for you the summer long
and pray one day to share your song"

Now taking her in gentle hand
I left the path, the wood, this land
eternal love with her I'll stay
sharing songs with Winter Fae

LOL  Well, whether or not 'tis with misspellings strewn, it is a lovely tale, and who better to tell it than the hero?   I really enjoyed this, Sol!

yep you definatly have a way with words, loved this

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

This is a charming story, thank you for sharing...

Sir Solstice...  liked the feeling on this one.
The storm she mentioned had yet to come
on alaskan winds bereft of sun
as they did one longest night
whereby was born my soul of light

'I am well' I said" but pleased tis true
to see and feel the sight of You.
for though the sun is fair and bright,
I was born on solstice night.'

"I know" she said "for I was there
I saw your mother's burden bared
I heard the night touched by your cry
and saw Aurora in your eyes"

Thought these three stanzas were some of the best.  Keep 'em coming.  Peace!
