A Clouded Memory

Last night, this morning, I awoke to find
on pillow, so near to my head,
a tiny vial, of a misty white
containing reminder, of one who is dead.
As I twisted the top, with my wondering hands
the most memorable scent, did appear.
Floating in soft, little wispy-like clouds
drifting, hanging mid-air,
was a vanilla scent, with a touch of musk
beckoning and leading to you ...
Following now ... from room to room
stronger and stronger, scent grew.
Then memories take me to soak, in your light
in the room with the bath and a view.
Looked into the mirror and eyes then looked back,
the ones, that were, of steel blue.
Those hands of yours, seemed to reach out and touch
this body, so pale of skin.
Then moved as a shadow and followed me, then
and joined me, stepping within
the pool of wet, silky and frothed
invading my senses, devine.
The warmth that I feel, as the hour has passed
and you have been savoring mine.
As the quest of desire comes to an end
and the flush of the moment, blushed red.
Once out of the tub, the face in the mirror
was seeing behind, what I dread.
Slowly but surely, back into a fog
of wispy-like clouds in the air
I watched as your body from head to your toes
left me saddened, in silent despair.

Wynter~
A moment so tender
soon did surrender
to the cloudy mist of a dream.

Wistfully sad little write.
