I've got my silly shades on
Some say they make me look insane,
It's funny how they change my perspective
So on my head, they'll remain!

So sad and serious is the world
Filled with hate, pain and division,
And such would surely bring me down
If 'tweren't for lighthearted "corrective vision."

Sometimes I laugh to keep from crying
Some times I show a devious grin,
For with these zany rainbow shades
The "yuck" and "ouch" can't enter in!

Those who see me just start to smile
And life's dark clouds fade away,
The world seems a little brighter--
With a "Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-di-a!"

So I've got my silly glasses on
Which helps me to set my mood,
The world's still the same old drag--
But my Outlook's been greatly improved!

WOW- another day of life-and here among friends!
Ain't God Grand!

Ah, Those rose colored glasses! LOL! Wonderfully humourous outlook and the only way to view the world, with a rainbow attitude! To see only the lovely and beautiful!  Bravo, Bro!  Love, Sis

Ahhhhh and what a colorful outlook on life David!!!! Many times I've been told to take off those rose colored glasses....and, I just won't do it...I'll have to give a copy of this wonderful poem to the next person that suggests I remove them!  Thanks.  Bonnie

great read, David..wish all the world's problems could be solved so easily..maybe we should give everyone a pair of silly glasses..

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Nothing like a pair of funky glasses, to change the "view" of things.
I like this a lot.

David,
A wonderful thing those rainbow shades,
The world looks much more cheery,
But if you were to lose them specs
The view would be much more dreary!

So keep them on and smile away,
You know a smile is contagious,
Help make the world a better place,
Tho you may look outrageous!

Where can I get a pair of them shades? LOL

Well they certainly made me smile

Sometimes you have to let go and move on,
But never let go of the memories.

This brightened a rather depressing evening for me.     Thanks!  It is good to remember that you can choose how you see the world.

David,

Are you giving out shades to the rest of us? I sure hope so cause I'd love to be able to join in on your fun. Great way of looking at the world.
