Sometimes I still talk to you, Though I know you can't reply. I close my eyes and think of you, An angel in the sky. I tell you all my secrets, Just like when you were here. I look to you for peace, And always feel you near. I sit beside you often, And talk the time away, Knowing you will always be, A guide throughout my day. I keep you very close to me, Even though we are apart. I keep you in my memory, But, mostly in my heart. Although I cannot see you, And although you can't reply, I know you're up there listening, An angel in the sky. |

This one is very special to me. It was written for my best friend who passed away at the age of 25 due to complications from childbirth. And I thank you all so much for the wonderful reception to this one, they really touched my heart. Thank you. Best |

This poem brought back a lot of emotion for me. I lost a cousin of mine when I was a senior in high school. I was in Fl at the time of his death and couldnt get home for the funeral. I felt so bad for so long that I wasnt able to tell him goodbye. I wrote this never ending letter to him that whenever I need to talk to him I just add to it. Helps me to remember that he's keeping his watch over me in Heaven as he did on Earth. Dawn |
