This poem was inspired by "Rest we forever lay" by
Jeremiah Johnson. The words "Alpha" and "Omega" are Greek for "Beginning" and "End"
-------------------------
Alpha
The beginning,
of everything made,
the creatures, the people,
everything.

Omega
The end,
the destruction,
of everything made,
the creatures, the people,
everything.
-----------------
This was inspired by Jeremiah Johnson, but takes place on a much larger scale.

This is good poetic expression, but the thoughts behind it are a bit depressing in a way.  I personally don't believe in an utter end of all things.  I prefer to view the Omega as the consumation and fulfillment of all things.  In the book of Revelation God is called "The Alpha and the Omega..." which seems to say that all things came from him and must ultimately end up in him (or find their completion in his purposes).  This is just a thought.  I wouldn't want to change your poem though. . . very nice and it said what you wanted it to.

repectfully,

SDJ
