No mediocre heart
you'll find,
beating inside a
poets chest.
Mundane thoughts
do not enter,
a poets imaginings.
For passion rules
o'er mind and heart,
beauty in all the
eye beholds.
O the joy of one
to be,
the soulmate of
a poet.
For there
they will find
a life,
filled with passionate
love so deep.
Have a friend
that is a poet,
and a friend you have
for life.
So let us rejoice,
my poet friends,
for we know the joy
so high,
and sorrow so deep,
that only a
Passionate poet
could know!

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

oh, this is so true...and there is nothing more marvelous than when two poets are soul mates...this captures the feelings so well.

There are some lovely thoughts here, Ellie.  Perhaps there has to be a little of the poet in anyone who recognizes a soulmate.

To love another person is to see the face of God.

Ellie,
A poet sees what others miss,
though it be temporal and fleeting,
a captured moment in space and time,
Of lovers fevered meetings.
The ink that courses through our veins,
Does not flow in quiet fashion,
But releases itself when emotions rise,
To express our deepest passions.

Well said Ellie!

Dear ELLIE,

I say to me
your words ring true
reminding me
so much of you.
Both as pics
Of loveliness
deep and wide
just so to bless.

You make a Wonderful & Assertively Knowledgable Spokesman for our Cherished

Some of the things you can find buried in the cellars (ok, so it wasn't that far down, but let me be melodramatic... I'm a poet...)

Ellie - this is a treasure I found much to my enjoyment! I think one of the things I so enjoy about this place is that I've finally found other's who understand what it means... to write.

Thanks for this gift -

Chris
