My mind can recall colours and hues
of rainbows and flowers, petals of blue,
sent from the earth at time of rebirth
healing and cleansing, bringing on mirth.

I remember the beauty of fresh living norms,
rain as it falls in showers and storms.
The wind as it blows, soft, gentle and warm
I feel in my soul as light of  new dawn.

I danced on the sand, swam deep in the sea,
embraced my love, joy buzzed as a bee
and the moon as it shone full on his face
blinded my eyes with brightness of grace.

But always the sun brought forth its goodwill
lighting the path, my heart burning still
with fervour and passion, my love never cold,
in days of the earth before it grew old.

I remember, remember the pleasures of life
eyes smiling in truth, not hiding a lie,
the joy of a touch, the warmth of a hug,
tears down cheeks blushed by the sun.

My mind recalls not evil acts of mankind,
malicious intent now left far behind,
but my heart bears pain, no healing hands,
down ages in time like weeds in the land.

And now I will sleep, rest away from the grief,
awaiting the dawn of glorious birth
for soon it will come, my life must ascend
to arms of my lover on whom I depend.
