My Dreams I've always dreamed about my life. Some think I am unwise. My best dreams are the waking kind. I still romanticize. When I was young, I dreamed I'd meet A prince upon a horse, But princes are in short supply. He never came, of course. As I grew up, my dreams grew, too. My hopes were rearranged, But still I dreamed I would find love, And that part never changed. I dreamed I'd spent eternity With my beloved best friend. While that dream nearly did come true, It hurt me in the end. I've dreamed a lot of dreams since then, And some of them you've known, But while my dreams involved real men, I always dreamed alone. And then one day you came to me, And suddenly it seemed That you were the fulfillment of A dream I'd never dreamed. I never thought of soulmates 'til I found my own in you, Nor dreamed two souls could intertwine The way yours and mine do. I know that you're not perfect, and You know the same of me, But in each other we can find The best that we can be. mar..most of my dreams are of the waking kind too! lol--they tend to make more sense than those jumbled-up faceless kind from sleep  i love this one--so many great lines! and maybe its because your poetry is "so personal" that others can identify with it hugs,dg my soul is painted like the wings of butterflies...fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die...i can fly--my friends -Queen |
