Music speaks into my soul
Tells me where I must go
Takes my hand and gently leads
Me to a place to fulfill needs
Listen to the lyrics close
The questions that they always pose
Holds answers more important than
Any place I've ever been
The beat keeps time as I march on
Through this night to find the dawn
As this song comes to an end
Another starts and takes my hand.

With a little piece of tomorrow,
You'll have to kiss yesterday goodbye.
Because today won't last forever,
And the past will only make you cry.
